St. Mary School fifth graders participated in a service learning project suggested by student Samantha Hruby and her mother. The fifth graders collected new or gently used stuff animals from St. Mary students for Columbia Station resident Charmae Cottom to re-distribute to nursing homes, police and fire departments, and youth organizations during the holidays. The students created posters and made announcements to the school about the stuffed animal drive. The project required the students to use computer skills and fulfilled English and public speaking requirements.
Thank you to everyone who helped make the Christmas season brighter!
